WMOC is using this yard sale to help raise funds and awareness for WMOC in Topeka KS. We have owned this property for three years. We had to go through a zoning process with the City if Topeka. WMOC was granted a change in the zoning law with a 9-0 vote by the City Council. Since June, WMOC began the process of getting this home ready to house men coming out of incarceration who have been through the Mentoring for Success Program.
Thanks to a great amount of support from various friends and family of WMOC. We now have the electrical and plumbing for our property o 1175 SW Clay Street well underway and close to completion. WMOC wants to thank all for their support and prayers. Our next step is to remodel the inside, which includes, tearing out carpet, painting, putting up drywall, and working on the kitchen. So we need your help to still get the word out for support!!! Share this blog post. If you or someone you know wants to get a hold of us, contact us.
Praise God, for His favor. WMOC received a letter that was written by the Secretary of Corrections Joe Norwood for the efforts this ministry has put forth into reducing recidivism, providing housing, and the impact with mentoring that this ministry has made. Thank You Jesus for giving us the wisdom, power, strength, love, faith, and hope to be able to impact the lives of others and bring about change for your honor and glory. Thank you to all those who help make WMOC be as effective as we have been. Thank You for your prayers and support in every way. May you be blessed for your efforts. Thank YOU!!!!
Hello WMOC Family,
This past week, WMOC had a garage sale at the former House of David Property. During that time a former WMOC resident Dominic led a young man to Christ at the Garage sale. Many shouts of joy were given because of this miracle that took place. Which shows us that God is definitely active outside the four walls of the church. Thank you for all your prayers and support!!!!
Founder and Executive Director Spencer Lindsay was blessed to get a paid vacation and learning experience by Mennonite Central Committee. The trip was centered around visiting other prisons around the area of New Orleans. What turned out to be a learning experience was also the place where God gave Spencer Lindsay the next season for Working Men of Christ Ministry. So below is the flyer and vision that God gave Spencer Lindsay on his trip to New Orleans. God Bless and Thank you for your continued support and prayers for Working Men of Christ Ministry!!!
Working Men of Christ Ministry was blessed this past week with a donated bicycle. Bicycles definitely help the residents in our home have a mode of transportation for them personally. This bicycle was donated by Fred "the bread man" who is a part of the Mennonite Community. We greatly appreciate the donation of the bicycle to WMOC to help the men and women in our homes. If you would like to consider doing a donation please submit a request in the contact form below. Thank you!!!
I wanted to write you a short note of encouragement. This ministry is powerful! Jesus came to seek and save the LOST. Keep up the good work. Stay true to the Word! I'm praying that God would continue to find favor in your ministry and continue to use your ministry set the captives free! We ALL desperately need freedom that can only be found in the blood of Jesus. Much love and encouragement from Augusta, KS!

Dear Family and Friends,
As you may already know, I have been blessed with a life changing opportunity to travel to Tel-Aviv, Israel in February 2017! I will be a part of the Women on the Frontlines tour hosted by Patricia King and other profound women of influence. While on this trip, we will be visiting many meaningful places with rich biblical history that make the bible come alive. Some of these places include Old Jerusalem, Mount of Beautitudes, Mount of Olives, The Upper Room, the Sea of Galilea, and 3 days in Tiberias.
I have always had a burning desire to experience Israel firsthand. I long to understand the Bible in a new way and experience the presence of God in a deeper way. But above all that, Israel is the apple of God’s eye. It’s the promised land; the birthplace of our Messiah and where He lived His life. It’s where the woman cried at the well and where John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. Those things alone are such significant moments in our history as Christians and it is my dream to stand in the places they’ve stood.
With this amazing opportunity also comes a cost. In total, the approximate cost is $4,000 and so far I have 10% saved. I ask that you prayerfully consider financially sponsoring me on this trip to Israel. Would you also please consider supporting the trip through prayer? We are praying to be blessed with safety and divine connections. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this and for your consideration in helping in any way possible. Every prayer and every dollar counts.
Praying God’s abundant blessings upon you!
With love and gratitude,
